About guesthouse
This house is located right below Japanese alps, where you can enjoy outdoor in mountains, rivers and lakes throughout four seasons. We moved to this area from Tokyo because this area is not commercialized, but intact from urbanization. So if you are looking for something different than usual sightseeing, here could be the place to visit. This house used to be a ski ryokan, and we renovated it by ourselves with abandoned and local materials to maintain nice and old Japanese architectural taste.
About room
Japanese traditional houses usually have less insulation and smaller rooms, but in order to solve the problems, this house was designed by a young prized architect and renovated by ourselves. Please come and see how it changed. To make a big place where people can gather, we combined 4 rooms into one, placing a big wood stove in the center, so that guests can gather there to relax. Private rooms are Japanese tatami rooms, but we have prepared 15 cm thick mattress so that everyone can sleep comfortably without hurting their back.
Japanese traditional houses are less insulated than western ones, more often than not, not insulated at all, but we renovated living space with very thick insulation. So you can spend with T-shirt and half pants in kitchen space. But you might feel cold in private rooms, so we placed oil heating in each room as well as hot water heating pad in your bed, which you might feel too hot.
We rent the whole house for one group.

Price
40,000 yen per night, same price for up to 4 people (There will be 5,000 yen heating charge for winter season). Children over 2 years old will be counted as one. For 5 or more people, there will be additional charge of 5,000 yen per night for each additional person.
